Tunnel Checker · Leak Watch (Android app uk.tunnelchecker.app) · Last updated 5 November 2026

In short: Tunnel Checker has no account, no ads, no analytics and no servers of its own. Your settings and results stay on your phone. To run its checks, your phone contacts the services listed below, which see your IP address, as any website you visit would.

Who we are

Tunnel Checker is made by Cybershmuck, an independent developer and sole trader in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for this app. Contact: contact@mailmyemail.com.

What stays on your phone

We never receive any of this. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes it.

Services your phone contacts

Each check is a direct connection from your phone to the service named. These services receive your IP address, and process it under their own privacy policies.

What we don't do

Notifications

If you turn on alerts (Pro), the app shows notifications on your phone when your VPN stops protecting you or a leak is found. They are generated on the phone.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you and ask for it to be deleted. We hold none: everything the app stores is on your device, and you can delete it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. For data held by the services above, contact them directly. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Tunnel Checker is a network utility for adults and isn't directed at children.
